I am a whistler

My Dad is a big time whistler. He is the Ultimate "whistle while you work" person. Cameron came from a whistling family and so adding the two us together equalls alot of whistling in our house. Nathan had tennis yesterday and while Jacob, Tyler and I waited outside the tennis courts, I started to whistle. It always starts out the same, its the melody of "would you like to swing from a star. . ." (The theme song from Out of This World) and some how morphs into ". . .and send him on his way" from South Pacific's: I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair. So while Jacob is eating his oranges and Tyler in the stroller, I wrap up a jazzier version of this unfamiliar tune. Upon completion I realize that there are people around me thinking any of the following: Is she whistling? What song is that? I hope she doesnt start dancing?

So what is the deal with this?

I was going through some articles in the Deseret News and came upon this photo of Jud hefting a man-made tree. I can presume that he is taking it to a place where it will be safe and protected from harm and danger. Way to go Jud.

For Carl...

Hoppy (Poppy) Easter!

Seriously, these Carter kids are dang cute, aren't they??

C-A-R-L

Just a little bit of back yard acrobatics to show off to the grandkids. Move on through, there is nothing to see here. Amazing what some people will do for a good chuckle. For my next trick....it may be a while.

Hold to the rod--pea brain!

We planted peas last week. It did not take long to have them look round and lay hold on something secure to aid them in their stable growth. They know a good thing when they see it.

For those nights when you stay up late...

Bromo Selter will cure that headache.

How did that go again? We haven't been to the cabin in a while...

Art Rocks!

Wow! I just learned that there a a lot of petroglyphs near St. Johns, Arizona that I have never before seen. These are likely within an hour's drive from the town. How could I have lived their as a small, innocent child and not heard of them? Well, one of these days, I am going to go see them and spend some time trying to get the messages that are left for me. The impression I am getting now is that the thin guy with one frog foot is talking to the woman with the woman with a funny hat and they are both looking at a guitar-shaped lizard crawling away. Somewhere, Waldo is there? Or, perhaps there is a subliminal message to us? I find this kind of stuff really, really interesting.
