For those nights when you stay up late...

Bromo Selter will cure that headache.

How did that go again? We haven't been to the cabin in a while...

Art Rocks!

Wow! I just learned that there a a lot of petroglyphs near St. Johns, Arizona that I have never before seen. These are likely within an hour's drive from the town. How could I have lived their as a small, innocent child and not heard of them? Well, one of these days, I am going to go see them and spend some time trying to get the messages that are left for me. The impression I am getting now is that the thin guy with one frog foot is talking to the woman with the woman with a funny hat and they are both looking at a guitar-shaped lizard crawling away. Somewhere, Waldo is there? Or, perhaps there is a subliminal message to us? I find this kind of stuff really, really interesting.

Easter Eggstravaganza, Two Thousand and Eight

Henceforth, you are all invited to the Carter Egg Eggstravaganza Easter Event of the Year. To be held at the SoPho Carter home, Saturday, March 22nd, at 10am. We will be having an EGG HUNT for the kiddos, BRUNCH, or LUNCH, whatever you want to call it, we'll make it occur with omelettes and crepes and such. No Peeps allowed. We will play the DANCING EGGS game (little Nathan can teach us how), and we will also play KILLER BUNNIES. Much fun will be had. I apologize in advance for our dead grass, since my darling husband didn't overseed this winter. Hills, you're invited too! And don't worry, this guy won't be there.

Two girls. Two years apart. Sounds familiar.

Congratulations, Aubrey. Now I wish I still had all those matching dresses to hand down to you, so you could dress them alike. I will have to give you these sweaters, at least!

Landon Shuffet

I found a video about the kid Landon was named after.

Glenn Beck

I pulled this off of Jamie's blog because I liked it. My first thought after Pres. Hinckley died was sadness because of his greatness and how I would miss hearing him, but my second thought was the same as Glenn Beck's first. What a glorious welcome he received when he passed. We will miss him!

You are getting sleepy.....

Somewhere in this little bizzare world of ours, someone invented the subliminal message. You all know what I mean--an obviously harmless photo or object that seemingly says one thing, but there is an underlying message of great importance to be discovered. It could be as innocent as a little yard donkey pulling a wooden cart full of flowers. But, wait! What is that little yard donkey trying to tell someone? Is there a message there for those who hold the power of the blog host? I would do it, but I have no idea how. And, I struggle even posting stuff sometimes. You be the judges. Discern. Discern like the wind.

Ay, Chihuahua.

Well, you know that you are getting old when your boy calls and announces that he needs to get eyeglasses. I hope he does not get contact lenses. I read of a woman who swallowed one once and made a real spectacle out of herself. Even worse, I told my wife that wearing glasses was a real pain in the u-no-whut and she said that I should wear them on my nose and I would probably see a little better. So, swallow your pride boy. Get those glasses and be prepared for your kids to eat peanut butter and jelly and wipe their greasy little mitts all over them. You are in for a long and disappointing ride. They are really a pain in the u-no-whut. However, I think you will look good in a pair just like these. I think it will give you the air of aristocracy that you lost when you lived in Eagar, Arizona. You will look erudite and philosophical. Actually, I am amused at the prospect of seeing you with the first pair. Good luck, we will see you later.
